Our goal was to visually represent that the 2000’s was when people really became connected to the internet on a large scale, which gave us access to all of the topics covered in the show.
To do this, we built a wall, painted it, dirtied it up, and shoved a 2000’s era computer monitor through it. Then we added details like the broken screen and 2000’s gel stickers that we altered. The aggressive installation of the monitor into the wall suggests an unhealthy obsession with the screen. Lighting it from behind gave the effect of daylight seeping in from the outside world.
